Camera Vocabulary

This is a traditional manual camera. In a digital camera memory replaces film. More memory (megapixels) improves the quality of the image.
A manual camera has bigger body than a compact digital one. It is more difficult to use than a compact one. But with a SLR (single lens reflex) you can use different lens to focus an image or create a special effect. You can zoom closer your subject or show a wider angle. Taking panorama pictures of a scene is becoming more popular.

Photographers specialise in different types or genres of photography. These include portrait photography, documentary, news, sports and landscape.
